Addressing Shipping Cost Concerns

Hello Ranger Nation,
We wanted to take a moment to address the growing number of comments voicing concerns around shipping costs that customers are seeing in Backerkit.
The costs that you are seeing in Backerkit are reflective of the quotes we’ve received from our fulfillment partners and are consistent with what was presented in the campaign. You can see those rates outlined in our shipping chart below, which was on the main page during the campaign. In the spirit of transparency, we strive to be as upfront and communicative about these rates as possible from campaign launch so there are less surprises when shipping time comes.
However, we understand that these rates are high and we hear you! So we are in the process getting some additional quotes from other fulfillment partners to see what we can do to reduce them.
Conversations have already started with them and we are committing to have an update for you by the end of next week, with more information about what our other partners can do. We take customer feedback very seriously and are committed to finding a solution.

Final Stretch Goal Unlocked!

We’re happy to announce that with a strong surge of post-campaign reserved orders, we were able to reach our last stretch goal in Backerkit! That’s right, the collected edition of MIGHTY MORPHIN POWER RANGERS: THE RETURN will be expanded from 128 pages to 144 in total! Thank you Ranger Nation for your support in helping us get there.
The Pre-Order store is set to remain open for a little while longer and we are currently targeting February 8th for the release of surveys so you have a bit more time to modify your cart and add any last minute exclusive items. We’ll announce the exact date a few days before so you can be prepared!
And speaking of exclusive items, we also wanted to give you a sneak peek at a BOOM! Hello, Ranger Nation!
We want to begin by thanking every POWER RANGERS fan who participated in this BOOM! Direct Reserve campaign, and welcome all of the additional fans who joined in the last 48 hours of the MIGHTY MORPHIN POWER RANGERS: THE RETURN New Comic Series campaign!
In January, we’ll be sending out surveys to everyone who participated in the campaign through BackerKit. At that time, you’ll be able to add-on any items you missed during the campaign, finalize your shipping costs, and confirm your mailing address. We’ll check in prior to shipping any products next year and you’ll be able to update your address if you move between now and then.
Our Pre-Order Store is also up and running on BackerKit now, so if you have friends who missed out on the campaign, let them know they can still pre-order through BackerKit. Anyone placing a pre-order through BackerKit will still receive the benefit of the upgraded books, but the free digital editions and bonus physical items will be exclusive to those who participated in the initial campaign.
And because we came SO close to unlocking our final Soaring Stretch Goal at $600,000 during the active campaign, we’ve decided to extend this Stretch Goal to our Pre-Order Store. When we exceed an additional $5,486 in reserved orders through the BackerKit store, we will consider the final Stretch Goal unlocked for everyone which will expand the collected editions of MIGHTY MORPHIN POWER RANGERS: THE RETURN from 128 to 144 pages!
If you’ve already reserved an order through the initial campaign, do NOT use the Pre-Order Store to add-on items as it will create a separate order for you in BackerKit. You will want to wait until you receive your survey to add-on any items.
Once again, thank you for an amazing campaign! We’ll be back next month ahead of releasing surveys. We will also be shifting to providing monthly campaign updates, which will include more behind-the-scenes insights on the progress of the series and production of your orders.

We’re thrilled to have unlocked two more Soaring Stretch Goals over our final weekend in this BOOM! Direct Reserve campaign! In fact, thanks to over 5,271 POWER RANGERS fans, who have united to reserve over $530,000 in comic books, collected editions, and limited edition merchandise, our MIGHTY MORPHIN POWER RANGERS: THE RETURN New Comic Series has been upgraded in the following ways:
- Matching DRM-free PDF digital editions for all physical reserved orders; and
- All hardcovers for THE RETURN and PINK have been upgraded with Spot U/V and metallic foil stamping treatments; and
- All slipcases for THE RETURN and PINK have been upgraded with Spot U/V and metallic foil stamping treatments; and
- Unlocked an exclusive virtual Q&A featuring the creative team to be shared in 2024; and

And with 24 hours left in the campaign, we are thrilled to announce our final Soaring Stretch Goal. If we reach $600,000 before 11am PST tomorrow, we will upgrade every copy of MIGHTY MORPHIN POWER RANGERS: THE RETURN collected edition, in any format, by adding 16 pages of behind-the-scenes content and an expanded cover gallery to bring the total page count up to 144 pages.
