Last Friday, we revealed to the world Olivia Hart as the new Green Ranger in MIGHTY MORPHIN POWER RANGERS: THE RETURN and it got POWER RANGERS fans worldwide talking. This week we thought you would enjoy hearing how Amy Jo Johnson describes Olivia… and Kimberly in our second short interview segment!

Deep dive into PINK

Hello, Ranger Nation!

We loved seeing all of the excitement and conversation surrounding MIGHTY MORPHIN POWER RANGERS: THE RETURN and the reveal of Olivia Hart both here on the campaign page, in the press, and on social media over the last few days! We’ll continue to share behind-the-scenes looks and reveals on the amazing story Amy Jo Johnson, Matt Hotson, and Nico Leon are creating during the active campaign and as we lead up to the release of the series with all of you.

But today, we wanted to take a moment to shine a spotlight on the other POWER RANGERS comic series we’re offering through this campaign – MIGHTY MORPHIN POWER RANGERS: PINK. This series written by Brenden Fletcher (Batgirl, Gotham Academy), Kelly Thompson (Captain Marvel, Black Widow), and Tini Howard (Excalibur, Harley Quinn) with art by Daniele Di Nicuolo (Seven Secrets, Speed Force) holds a special place in our collective hearts here at BOOM! Studios Headquarters, because it was the first expansion of the POWER RANGERS comic book universe we published way back in 2016.

Kimberly Hart has long been a favorite Power Ranger for us, and with the main MIGHTY MORPHIN POWER RANGERS comic series initially focusing on Tommy Oliver’s integration into the larger team, we wanted our first expanded story to spotlight Kimberly’s time after she left the team. In addition to being a wonderful and classic POWER RANGERS story,  it was also one of our first opportunities to add to the mythology of the franchise and demonstrate that “once a Ranger, always a Ranger” was more than just words.

MIGHTY MORPHIN POWER RANGERS: PINK has been out of print for some time and we’re thrilled to reintroduce this amazing storyline to longtime and new POWER RANGERS fans alike as part of this campaign. If you haven’t read it before, check out the preview below:

More Stretch Goals! And A New Tier Enters!

Now that we’ve passed $400,000 in reserved orders, we will be adding this super rad retro-metallic sticker sheet featuring your favorite Teenagers with Attitude to every physical reserved order!

And for those paying attention to our campaign page, you’ll have noticed we’ve revealed our next Soaring Stretch Goal which will unlock when we reach $500,000 in reserved orders. When that happens, we’ll automatically add the short comic story “Re-Imagine” by Amy Jo Johnson and Matt Hotson that was first published as part of the MIGHTY MORPHIN POWER RANGERS: 30TH ANNIVERSARY SPECIAL #1 this past summer in every copy of the MIGHTY MORPHIN POWER RANGERS: THE RETURN collected edition. The story, with art by Francesco Mortarino and Joana Lafuente, is a prelude to THE RETURN and will make the collected edition truly a complete experience.
